Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton Brunswick Canada, is a Canadian actress best known for playing Bo in the Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was created by Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk and Peter Silk are the grandparents of Silk. Ilkay is a playwright as well as director, and she plays the role of drama instructor on the drama department at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna has some of her earliest memories of watching television and attending play rehearsals. Silk was a part of numerous commercials for children. She received a Bachelor's of Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. The early stage work she did included at the very least two productions for Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated out of Toronto to Los Angeles in the decade following 1999. She met her future spouse, Seth Cooperman, at an Actor's workshop in Los Angeles in 2007. Following their engagement in 2008, they were married in the year 2009. The couple renewed their vows the 10th of April in Fredericton in the tradition of a Jewish wedding ceremony after Silk converted to Judaism. Silk was blessed with a son that was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13th 2013. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on the 13th of May in 2016. Silk's TV work is a part of Being Erica as Cassidy Holland in which she was awarded an Gemini Awards nod in 2009. In 2009 she landed the principal character role of Bo Dennis a succubus in the Canadian television show Lost Girl. Silk was pregnant while filming of the final season episode and broke the news to viewers of the show in a Showcase pre-show Season Three special on January 6 2013. The 4th of June 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced that production was beginning on the fourth season and on June 20 2013 Silk announced via Twitter that she was back to work on the show. CNN Cable News Network named Bo together with Lauren Zoie Palmer as the couple with the same name in Lost Girl to be one of its favorite TV Couples of all time. E! Magazine declared the couple as one of the Top Television Couples in 2013 Entertainment Television. Silk's success has led to an extensive online presence on social networks.
